Day 1. Welcome to Granada!
Touch down in the beautiful city of Managua where your English-speaking guide will greet you and privately transfer you to Granada, where you'll catch a small boat from the pier to your eco-lodge.
Enjoy your stay in this luxury accommodation, built sustainably on the private island. When you aren't touring, you may like to indulge in the wonderful cuisine on the island or fun outdoor activities they offer.

Jicaro Island Lodge is located on a private island in the Granada Isletas in Lake Nicaragua. Minutes away from Granada, you can enjoy the best of city life and the seclusion of an exclusive luxury experience. Soak in the tranquility of the peaceful island and stunning views of the Mombacho Volcano across the lake. Rejuvenate with yoga classes and luxury massages from the resident masseuse and rediscover restful sleep in one of the nine casitas on the island. Day 2. Granada
Enjoy breakfast on your island before heading out on your tour of the stunning Montibelli Reserve. Over 400 acres of habitat house about 155 bird species, a wide array of butterflies, a few species of monkeys, and an organic fruit and vegetable farm.Â
Visit a local farm to see how avocado, pineapple, and rice are grown by a local family, who will supply lunch along with curds and tortillas. Then, follow your guide to Masaya Volcano, which has been active since the 40s, and finally to the Masaya Market, where local arts take center stage.Â
Birdwatching & Farm Tour at Montibelli Reserve
Explore the stunning nature reserve that hosts about 155 bird species like toucan, oropendolas, manakins, trogons, woodpeckers, trogons, hummingbirds, and the national bird, motmots. Keep you camera ready to capture shots of howler monkeys and jewel-like butterflies. You can also enjoy a stroll through the organic garden that produces vegetables and fruits.
Visit to Masaya Volcano National Park
Visit Nicaragua's first national Park, the Masaya Volcano National Park. See the steaming volcanic crater, admire the volcanic lagoon in the distance, and stop by the environmental interpretation center, where you can find a model of the park. Here you can learn about tectonic plates and volcanic activity, the area's flora and fauna, and admire Nicaraguan art.Â
One you've enjoyed the park, follow your guide to the incredible colorful Masaya Market, a place perfect for picking out souvenirs.Â
Day 3. Granada
Today you'll get to experience the history of colonial Granada by horse-drawn carriage! Clatter down cobbled streets, snap photos of churches, pass by colorful cafes, and more.Â
Then explore further on foot. Visit the La Merced Church, the Convento San Francisco, ancient sculptures, and objects of religious worship. Then you'll head to a pottery class at San Juan Oriente and Catarina, which also sells arts and crafts and is home to a nursery for beautiful flowers. Take in the stunning views of the Apoyo Volcanic Lagoon from the Catarina viewpoint before the end of the tour.Â

Today you'll get to board a horse-drawn carriage to meander by historic sights and colorful city quarters. Later on foot, you'll get the chance to explore the Convento San Francisco and the La Merced Church. Admire the arts and crafts at San Juan Oriente, and the lovely flowers at Catarina. You'll get to see some of the amazing craftsmanship that goes into ceramics, then get a chance to try it for yourself! Have your camera ready for the Catarina viewpoint as well!
Day 4. Granada - San Juan del Sur
Pack away the souvenirs and keepsakes you've collected so far and make way for the beachy San Juan del Sur. Transfer with a guide to your next eco-lodge, where your privacy is kept by Nicaraguan jungle and the crash of waves against the shore can be heard in the distance.Â
Check in to drop off your bags, then perhaps grab a drink and go for a stroll along the water as the sun sets.

Check-in - Morgan's Rock Hacienda & Ecolodge
Enjoy the seclusion that comes with being surrounded by trees but the fun in the sun that comes with sleeping just a few minutes walk away from the shoreline at Morgan's Rock Hacienda & Ecolodge. Located in San Juan del Sure and just 18 miles away from Salinas, this lodge offers a garden, an outdoor pool, an on-site bar, private beach area, water sport facilities, bike rentals, room service, ticket and tour assistance, free Wi-Fi, a lovely spa and sauna, room service, and on-site dining.
Rooms come in the forms of villas and bungalows, and offer air conditioning, a ceiling fan, tea and coffee making facilities, and a private bathroom including bathrobes and complimentary toiletries. Day 5. San Juan del Sur
Today's healthy and delicious breakfast will be earned! Enjoy milking a cow, collecting eggs, and learning how to make tortillas to put together a rich, fresh meal. Learn about organic farming, interact with other farm animals, and enjoy the benefits of farm-to-table living. Â
Later in the day, head out on the water in a sit-on-top kayak with your guide. You can choose to follow the tour through tranquil mangrove waters or head out on your own, discovering lush forest, fascinating wildlife, and more in an hour and a half excursion.Â

Day 6. San Juan del Sur
Today you'll have to yourself. Enjoy the beach, unwind at the spa, adventure through the jungle, or simply lounge by the pool.
In the late evening, head down to the private beach for a ride on one of the boats waiting to show you the beautiful sunset, marine life, and scenery of Morgan's Rock while sipping on a tasty drink.
Day 7. San Juan del Sur - Managaua
Enjoy a final day in Nicaragua with a transfer from San Juan del Sur to your final accommodation in Managua. This is the perfect time to get any last-minute souvenir shopping, sunbathing, and exploring in!Â
