This is an escorted tour. It’s perfect if you prefer not to do your own driving and want to see as many sights as you can during your vacation.

Start with a night in Bangkok and set off on a longboat tour of the area before you begin the journey. You'll tour the Doi Suthep temple in Chiang Mai, spend the night in a traditional Laotian village in Vang Vieng, and explore the capital of Laos.
Then, move on to Vietnam where you'll see Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum in Hanoi, cruise the Ha Long Bay in a junk boat, and tour the Imperial Citadel in Hue.

Day 1. Welcome to Bangkok!
Hit the ground running when you land in Bangkok!
Grab your travel gear and get to your first accommodation to check in and drop your stuff. You can do whatever you want until 6:00 when you'll meet up with your group. After, grab a local meal with your new buds as you kick off a month of adventure you'll never forget!
A Tip For Your Trip: You MUST arrive on tour with your Vietnam visa. There is no way to procure this once the tour has commenced.

Prime Hotel Central Station Bangkok is located near a main railway station and an underground station to easily connect you with other parts of the city. Guest rooms are well-appointed with free WiFi, coffee/tea making facilities, and television. There are two onsite restaurants, with room service also available. Day 2. Bangkok - Chiang Mai
Start off with a guided longboat tour of Bangkok's klongs and Wat Po. If you'd like, you may decide to take yourself to the Grand Palace for a look around or enjoy a few hours at the National Museum.
Tonight, you'll board an overnight train to Chiang Mai.Â

Show up early to wander. You could ride a tuk-tuk through the streets or taste your way through the flavors of the city!

Say goodbye to Chiang Mai and move along to Chiang Khong. This sleepy town is perched on the bank on the Mekong River. On the way, you'll stop at Wat Rong Khun, known as the "White Temple."

Day 5. Chiang Khong - Muang Pakbeng
Cross the border into Laos, then catch a songthaew (local bus) to a traditional slow boat.
Get comfy - there's a reason it's called a "slow" boat! Snack on some fruit and sip some tea as the scenery of the Mekong River drifts by. Your slow boat is even equipped with a toilet!

Hop into a van for a private drive over winding mountain roads and stunning scenery. When you arrive in Vang Vieng, you'll meet your host family and feast on a meal of traditional Laotian food.
Tonight, you'll experience a local homestay in a nearby village.

Day 14. Hanoi - Ha Long

After you land, get explorin'! The bustling streets of South Vietnam's commercial center are sure to hold treasures you'll love to discover. Pop in an out of lacquerware shops as you sample a variety of delicious street food from the stalls lining the street.Â

Day 22. Ho Chi Minh City

You'll travel from the city to the delta and see where the Mekong meets the South China Sea. Climb aboard a small boat and navigate the tiny canals as you check out the local life on the banks of the river and in the boats around you. You'll make stops to check out the local cottage industries and products this area is famous for.Â

Day 28. Siem Reap - Bangkok
Grab your stuff and hop into a private van for a final ride! Once you've crossed the border into Thailand and arrived in the city, check into your hotel. After, you can decide if you want to head back out to explore the shops and nightlife, or if you're ready to take a little nap after your adventure-filled journey!

Vacation packages include round-trip economy class airfare on valid international carriers as noted in specific package inclusions and as indicated on booking engine calendar, which may also include code share flight agreements between carriers as indicated during the booking process. Carriers may vary based on city of origin.
Air fares are based on a 14-day advance purchase and include round-trip economy class airfare, including carrier and government-imposed taxes and fees, and the September 11th Security Fee of $5.60 per enplanement originating at a U.S. airport. Fluctuations in exchange rates may affect some taxes or fees. Other departure dates and origins are available at slightly higher rates. Fares apply to North American originating passengers only, and are not eligible for accrual of frequent flyer points/mileage. Seats are limited and fares may not be available on all flights. Child/infant discounts are not available, and stopovers are not permitted. Advance seat selection is controlled by the carrier(s), and may not be available on all flights. Baggage fees may apply; please check with carrier for specific policies.

Escorted vacation packages are per person based on two travelers (unless otherwise specified), and typically include hotel accommodations; transportation with professional driver/guide; sightseeing as listed, some meals, local taxes, hotel service charges and porterage of one (1) suitcase per person, due to limited capacity on motor coaches. Space is limited and prices may be restricted to certain travel dates, length of stay or room type. Driver and guide gratuities are not included, and are at the discretion of the traveler. Terms and conditions apply. Minimum child ages and handicapped traveler restrictions may apply on escorted tours; please call for details.
