Day 1. Welcome to Cartagena, Colombia!

Day 2. Cartagena, Colombia
Rise and shine! Today you'll get to know the city of Cartagena on a half-day city tour. Learn all about the history, architecture, and culture of this fascinating city.
The rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure.
Cartagena City Tour (half-day)
Your tour of this UNESCO World Heritage City will begin with the Castille San Felipe de Barajas, or the Fortress of San Felipe. Located at the top of the Hill of San Lazaro, this well-preserved fortress dominates the city and is seen from both land and sea.
From there, you’ll make a photo stop at the fortress of San Felipe de Barajas, a masterpiece of engineering built by the Spaniards to defend the city from attacks by pirates. Continue walking around the walled colonial city, where its narrow streets and houses with spectacular balconies will take you back in time. Visit the Convent of San Pedro Claver, a jewel of Spanish colonial architecture.
Your last stop on the tour will be the famous Emerald Museum in Bocagrande, before you are returned to your hotel.
Day 3. Cartagena, Colombia
Make sure you have your camera! Today is all about the natural beauty of Colombia. Enjoy a day trip to the Islas del Roasrio, 27 islands nestled in the crystal clear Caribbean waters off the city's coast. With a full-day tour, you'll see the very best of these must-see gems!
Full-day Tour to the Rosario Islands
This morning you will be transferred from your Cartagena hotel to the pier. The tour starts at the Cartagena Pier, from where you will board a shared boat going to the Rosario Islands. The national park is surrounded by coral reefs and lapped by clear blue waters and is the natural habitat for a large variety of marine fauna. Three ecosystems thrive here: coastal lagoons, mangroves surrounding them, and tropical forest. You will have plenty of free time for snorkeling and relaxation. Enjoy a typical lunch (included) and other additional activities offered by this place at an additional rate.
Day 4. Cartagena, Colombia - Lima, Peru

Peruvian cuisine is currently enjoying a period of international recognition, having been named as the ‘gastronomic capital of the world’ across numerous publications and travel networks, making this tour all the more alluring. On arrival at the restaurant, you will be shown the secrets to preparing some of Peru’s classic dishes with a modern twist, such as ceviche and pisco sours, before indulging in a delectable gourmet lunch, while overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This experience includes a trip to one of the many local produce markets to see first-hand the array of ingredients which go into such fine dining, before being awarded with your very own chef’s apron, to keep as a souvenir in your own kitchen back home!
Day 6. Lima, Peru
Ah, another day exploring lovely Lima. Today, enjoy an included full-day tour! You'll also be treated to a visit to the Larco Museum and a delicious lunch.

The tour will begin with an exploration of Colonial Lima. First, you will stop off at the Main Square, where you will get a chance to explore the square on foot and admire the exteriors of the Government Palace, the Cathedral of Lima, and the City Hall all examples of Lima's still-present colonial architectural opulence.
You will visit the San Francisco Convent built in the 17th century, and its “Catacombs” ancient underground cemetery of Lima. You will leave behind Lima's Historic Center and begin a journey through the streets of modern Lima as head toward the most traditional of the residential zones of the capital: San Isidro and Miraflores. In San Isidro, you will pass through the heart of the city's financial district; soon afterward, you will travel to the district of Miraflores, a perfect spot to enjoy wonderful views of the Pacific Ocean. Afterward, you will head to the Pueblo Libre District and visit the Larco Museum, an eighteenth-century Viceregal mansion that houses more than 3,000 years of Peru's pre-Columbian history. The museum boasts a supremely fine collection of gold and silver jewelry and worship paraphernalia that demonstrates the superb skill of ancient Peruvian gold and silversmiths. The Larco Museum also contains a famous collection of erotic ceramic tomb art that gives insights into various aspects of pre-Columbian rituals on fertility and the afterlife.Day 7. Visit the Santuario Histórico de Machu Picchu (Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu). Aboard a comfortable train, you will depart for the Aguas Calientes train Station, enjoying a spectacular view along the way. Upon arrival, you will board a bus that will take you to the entrance gate of the Machu Picchu citadel.
