Santa Chiara Hotel
Modern hotel overlooking Venice's Grand Canal
Santa Chiara Hotel is housed in a palace that has been part of Venetian history for over 500 years - which is completely detached from other buildings, therefore providing panoramic views of the city, Grand Canal, Rio Nuovo Canal, Papadopoli Gardens and/or Piazzale Roma, from all guestrooms. It was built in the 16th century and used as a Monastery of the Santa Chiara Nuns (from which the hotel and the embankment on the Grand Canal take their names).
Today, it offers the professionalism and amenities of a great modern hotel, along with the traditions, hospitality and charm of an historical one. The hotel and its 40 guestrooms are decorated in perfect Venetian style and tradition, with Murano glass chandeliers, precious fabrics, Venetian-style flooring, uncovered beams and antique furniture.
