*Please note: If you have booked a single room option, on night 2, there may be shared facilities (cottage style accommodation), but you will have your own room. On night 3, accommodation is in a Maori wharepuni (sleeping house). This 14-night vacation brings you through some of the best regions in New Zealand! Begin in Auckland, where you'll meet your group leader and fellow travelers! Travel to the stunning Coromandel Peninsula to visit Cathedral Cove before settling for the night in Hahei.
From Hahei, you'll visit Rotorua! A hub for Maori culture, Rotorua is filled with incredible sights. Visit geothermal areas and experience the incredible nature before visiting a Maori village! Here, you'll dine on a traditional hangi meal, watch a performance, and spend an overnight. This is a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so enjoy it!
Next, you'll spend a few days in Wellington before traveling from the North Island to the South Island! In Kaikoura and Hanmer Springs, keep your eyes peeled for dolphins!
Continue on to Franz Josef to experience the incredible glacier there. Then, it's off to Queenstown! Your time here includes a cruise on the Doubtful Sound, one of the most remote places in the world! Spend the rest of your time here as you please, perhaps indulging in a bucket-list outdoorsy activity such as skydiving or bungee jumping!
Next, you'll head to Twizel and Mount Cook, the highest peak in New Zealand! Spend time here and in Aoraki at the Visitor Center. Your final destination is Christchurch. Take a walking tour here and spend the final night of your trip celebrating the amazing memories you've made with your fellow travelers!

Day 1. Welcome to Auckland!
Upon arrival, make your way to your hotel. You'll meet your group leader and fellow travelers this afternoon, then have the option to join them for a meal.
Day 2. Auckland - Hahei
You'll depart early this morning towards the Coromandel Peninsula. Keep your eyes peeled along the way for dolphins and whales! Take a stroll to Cathedral Cove, visit Hot Water Beach, and bask in the glory of this picturesque paradise!
Tonight you'll dine with your travel companions.
Check-in - Tatahi Lodge Beach Resort
Find yourself surrounded by lush tropical gardens and bright blue coastal views! This beachfront lodge offers well-equipped rooms and unbeatable scenery. Open the door to your room and find flat-screen TV, plush bedding, free WiFi, and much more! On the hotel grounds, you'll find BBQ facilities, bike rentals, and lots of other outdoor offerings.
Day 3. Hahei - Rotorua
Today, you'll travel to Rotorua! Visit the geothermal areas and discover the natural beauty of this area.
Tonight, you'll be treated to an authentic Maori experience! Feast on a traditional hangi dinner, watch a show, and spend an overnight in a Maori village! This is a great opportunity to chat with Maori hosts and learn about their culture first-hand.
Day 4. Rotorua - Wellington
Travel south today to Wellington, the capital of New Zealand! Enjoy the changing scenery as you go! Tonight, find a restaurant for dinner and take in the lively atmosphere of Wellington.

Day 5. Wellington
Today, you'll take an orientation walk through beautiful Wellington. After, spend the rest of the day as you wish! Visit the Te Papa Museum, ride the cable car, stroll through the botanical gardens, or simply admire the cool and calm atmosphere of the city.
Day 6. Wellington - Kaikoura
Today, a ferry ride will bring you from the North Island to the South Island. Then, a scenic train ride will bring you to the charming seaside town of Kaikoura!
A Tip For Your Trip: Please note that the train on the south island is seasonal and does not run from May to September. Today's transportation will be a public bus during this time period instead of a train.

Day 12. Queenstown
Today, you'll cruise the Doubtful Sound in Fiordland National Park! This is one of the most isolated places in the world and requires a boat and a bus to get there. The scenery is spectacular and you'll love the opportunity to see dolphins, penguins, seals, and more animals in action! Enjoy comfortable private transportation to and from the cruise.
Day 13. Queenstown - Twizel
Say goodbye to Queenstown this morning as your adventure continues to Twizel! Stop along the way in Aoraki/Mount Cook to visit New Zealand's highest mountain! Check out the National Park Visitor Centre, then take one of the many short walks here for incredible views.

Day 14. Twizel - Christchurch
Travel today to your final destination, Christchurch! Discover how the city was rebuilt following a devastating earthquake in 2011. A guide will lead you on a resourceful Otautahi walking tour as you explore lesser-known paths through the city.
Spend one final evening with your fellow travelers and celebrate your grand adventure!
